Pasture Raised Heritage Pork
Murray Allan Thunberg, the butcher shoppe’s owner is also the owner-operator of Murray’s Farm in Cambridge. There he raises five breeds of registered, heritage pork that is pasture raised and fed a non-GMO diet free of corn and soy. From the farm’s neighbours and friends in the local Mennonite community, you’ll also find classic garlic dills, sauerkraut, sweet dills, pickled eggs, pickled beets, and more.
Murray’s Farm
Heritage animals abound at our Cambridge, Ontario farm, pigs, turkeys and egg-laying hens. The farm also has a six-acre market garden and about 200 apple trees. You can find our heritage eggs at Murray’s Farm Butcher Shoppe in Hamilton and at retailers in Toronto and across Southwestern Ontario.
Farmer Murray has been selling wholesale to restaurants and local butcher shops for many years and working in many farmers’ markets in the GTA. Still, he wanted to expand his farmer’s market booths into a physical location which led him to open the shoppe in Hamilton.
