Good Food
Murray’s Farm pork is a cut above the rest. Murray Thunberg, the owner, and his farm manager, Troy, raise registered herds of rare and heritage hog breeds. They include Gloucestershire Old Spot, Herefords, Berkshires, Tamworths, and British Saddlebacks.
Murray’s Farm also raises pastured beef, pasture-raised Heritage Eggs®, and some heritage poultry, as well as organically growing a variety of fresh vegetables and fruit.

Great neighbourhood butcher on the corner of Ottawa and Cannon! Pasture-raised eggs are a must-buy, so much flavour, and saddleback bacon is outstanding; additionally, the New York steaks are among the best we’ve ever had. They also have a fantastic selection of relishes, pickles, dry rubs, and local honey. In terms of taste and goodness, the local chicken breast is two levels above anything from the grocery store. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the products.
